2023 Past Events

2024 Christmas Toy Drive

Santa and Mrs. Claus don't slow down for the holiday season! Right after we wrapped up with VetFest, we were dropping off donation boxes to Dale's Ales, Legacy Whiskey, and VFW Post 8093. These locations were most generous with their contributions. Legacy Whiskey had a patron bring in 4 bicycles!!!!!

We hosted a Naughty Christmas Party at Dale's Ales to raise donations to fill in the gaps of what the children at the Florida United Methodist Children's Home needed. We had music provided by Panic Station and Crowned Rebels.

So much fun was had with people dressing up and getting into the Christmas spirit.

We love playing Santa and delivering a truck load of gifts to the children's home!

2023 VetFest

THANK YOU SANFORD! You always welcome One is too Many with open arms. The 2nd Annual VetFest showed how much you come out to support our organization and helping our local Veterans and their families. Mayor Art Woodruff came out with several of his staff members and read the annual proclamation declaring November 4, 2023 as One is too Many day. We had a stellar line up of much starting with U.S. Army Veteran Dave Itkin, followed by Rhenn & Chief (LMHS ROTC Commander), rocking Crowned Rebels and jamming Jasmine Cain.  Josh Bauer donated his time to paint a live painting to be auctioned off at the end of the day. Fun was had by all - big kids and little kids. Vendors selling their wares, games, laughter and a sense of community.

Lake Mary High School Jr. ROTC volunteered their time to present colors and hold 2 drill demonstrations.

All of this could not have been made possible without our co-partner, The Wet Spot and our annual sponsors. We can't say THANK YOU enough for all of your support!!!!!

2023 Christmas in July

June 17 & 18, One is too Many kicked off our 4th annual Christmas in July event at Seminole Harley Davidson. Over Father's Day weekend we had 4 bands and were serving up burgers and dogs. We had a great start to the event by raising over $300 to put towards the Florida United Methodist Children's Home. Rev. Brian Carr spoke on behalf of the children's home and gave a history and THANKED One is too Many for our generosity through the years.

The week following the Seminole Harley Takeover weekend, volunteers dropped off donation boxes at the locations for the Annual Blackjack Poker run.

On a sunny and bright July 15, 2023, One is too Many volunteers gathered at Legacy Whiskey, Sanford, FL to register our attendees for $10 per person or an unwrapped toy. We loaded up a very heavy box of donations.

We then headed up 17-92 to stop 2, VFW Post 8093 where we were welcomed with free chili dogs and a full box of donations. We were met at the VFW by Joanne Perotti and Brenda Sowards Ciccarello from Paralyzed Veterans of America, Central Florida Chapter. They donated 4 bicycles and 4 large boxes of donations. We actually sent 1 of the 2 trucks home to unload. (a first for us)

Then we headed towards Deltona with a stop at Blackie's Bar. We relaxed from the heat and continued our Blackjack hands and loaded up another box of goodies.

It was time to hit the road and travel around Lake Monroe to Foxhead Lounge, Osteen. Our participants were having fun playing a Blackjack hand at each stop. We were 1 stop away from announcing the winner of the fishing excursion for 2. Foxhead had live music waiting for us when we arrived, we tapped our toes and cooled off from the hot Florida weather.

Finally, we set off to Shay's Airport Lounge, Sanford. We arrived to music by Tom & Mark, tasty sandwiches and more fun. We pulled the last Blackjack hand and our big winner was Dee Welton. During out time at Shay's we had several raffle baskets and a 50/50 drawing. The winner of the 50/50 Fred Mayer, Jr won the 50/50 and donated the monies back to the kids. He also won the fishing raffle basket and asked us to auction it off to create more donations.

Aside from over 3 truck loads of donated items, we raised almost $1,000 to purchase more items for the children's home.

THANK YOU to our sponsors - Gast Construction, Frank Gay Commercial Services, and our STOPS: Legacy Whiskey, VFW, Blackies Bar, Foxhead and Shay's.

2023 Ride to Remember

On May 20, 2023, One is too Many hosted the annual Ride to Remember for Memorial Day. We had commemorative T-shirts for purchase throughout the day. This year, we put a twist to the event, we turned it into a scavenger hunt. We had unique items like a floppy disc, car before 1957 and the list goes on. There were also riddles to solve for extra points. We had two teams from Total Misfits, a local riding club, win 1st and 2nd place.

Thanks to the donations from Sunny Beaches, The Alibi and Legacy Wiskey, we created some unique 1st and 2nd place awards.

A special thank you to all of our scavenger hunting grounds, The Alibi, Wet Spot, Shay's Airport Lounge, Legacy Wiskey Bar and Sullivan, A Public House.

At Sullivan, we had live music provided by David Lowe and 50/50 drawing. With your support of our event, we will be able to make a donation of over $500 to Paralyzed Veterans of America, Central Florida Chapter.

Fun was had by all, make us wonder, if there are hunters still looking for items they may have missed. It's never too early to plan for the next scavenger hunt.
